Sam was knowledgeable and ticked all the boxes when ensuring we understood the how's and safety of surfing before entry.
He wasn't thrown by all of us being neurodivergent, at least not after the kids knew what he'd said when they hadn't been looking at him. He deliberately used visuals and hands on learning to teach. With help from his mentoree he ensured we all got to our feet and knew how to get back out in the waves without being too wiped out.
We could have stayed out longer with the boards than our time too. We really had an enjoyable afternoon.
