There’s a real movement happening across the coastlines of Australia — more and more women are finding their way to the ocean, discovering strength, calm, community (and fun!) through surfing.
And here in Agnes Water, we’re proud to be part of that shift with our Wāhine Surf Program – returning for a new term starting 15 October 2025, running twice a week.
National Energy, Local Impact
In June, Surfing Australia and Surfing Queensland held their 2025 RISE Development Camp — a national initiative designed to support women across all areas of surf: coaching, judging, officiating, and leadership.
The camp brought together 40 women from around Australia for two days of skill-building, connection and empowerment — the kind of work that helps shape a more inclusive and supportive surf culture for everyone.
We’re proud to share that one of our Stylez coaches, Amber Walker, was selected to participate in this year’s camp. Her involvement reflects the energy and talent coming out of regional Queensland, and we’re stoked to see local Wāhine contributing to the national surf story.
